Helpful Study Skills: How to Study Actively:
Keys to Make User Friendly Notes:
1. Post-It Notes: Use post-it notes to seperate important sections in your notes. In addition, formulae, examples, vocabulary, important diagrams can be written on these.
2. Paper Clips: Use paper clips to seperate your notes into seperate different sections. i.e) In our Cells & Organ Systems Unit ie. Section 1 - Microscope Parts, Section 2 - Making Slides, Section 3 - Animal Cell Parts etc
3. Highlighters - Only highlight important infromation. Avoid highlighting too much material.
4. File Cards - Use these cards for memory work. Key vocabulary, definitions, and formula can be used and quizzed wth a friend.
5. M.V.P. Sheets - Imagine you could take in one sheet of paper into the test. While you aree reviewing your notes, record hard to remember information on these pages.

1. Know What Topics Are On The Test - Ask teacher if necessary
2. Know Your Teacher's Testing Style- Multiple Choice, Short Answer, Essay style etc
